JAVIER GUTiERREZ (SAX)
Born and raised in Alice, Tx., Javier earned his B.A. in music performance from St. Leo University. He taught single reeds at the Armed Forces School of Music(Virginia )and with USAEUR band in Heidelberg Germany. After retiring from the military he worked for Dallas ISD. He’s performed in support of stars such as Rosemary Clooney, Carol Channing, Danny Thomas, Rich Little, Red Skelton, Engelbert Humperdinck, Patty Page, Off Broadway national tours, The Spinners etc. He teaches single reeds privately and performs throughout the DFW metroplex.
JOHN WILLIAMS (TROMBONE)
Born and raised in the Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas, John pursued music through his high school’s band programs followed by a bachelor’s degree in Trombone Performance from the University of Texas. His love for Chicago’s music started at an early age motivating him to explore the worlds of pop, jazz and classical music styles (all found in Chicago’s music!). His performance experience includes principal trombonist with the Austin Symphony, recording work and many other classical and jazz organizations. John is a husband, father, grandfather and human resources consultant by day… and in between, he is thrilled to work with these talented friends with Windy City!
Jim Rosenthal (Drums, Vocals)
Originally from Pennsylvania, Jim began playing drums at 10 and shortly afterwards, he started his own band. Jim has been playing in bands steadily since and has been fortunate enough to play with a number of top artists in the music business. Jim runs an energy advisory practice when he’s not playing music.
